Dana Almasri

As a passionate child, I was encouraged by a talented mother who guided me and enrolled me in art classes and workshops at school.
Born in Syria, I grew up in the United Arab Emirates and now live in Switzerland. My life has changed radically and, although I trained as a mathematician, I have always found refuge in painting.
Something constantly drove me to free myself from everyday stress and simply be myself. To put my emotions on the canvas… to blend memories, cultures and feelings.
Since 2018, I have been fortunate enough to share the beauty of the world as a volunteer painting teacher at RECIF. I help other women discover colours and express their emotions.
