Arthur Marquand, a resident of Neuchâtel, discovered his passion for magic several years ago. It was in Montmartre, in the heart of Paris, during a show given by a magician near the Sacré-Cœur, that he was deeply impressed by the art of illusion. Fascinated by magic’s ability to amaze and confuse perception, he decided to devote himself to it seriously.
Alongside his main job, Arthur is developing his artistic career as a professional magician and performs at corporate events, weddings, birthdays and private functions, where he creates convivial and surprising moments through close-up magic. For several years, he has been an active member of the Neuchâtel Magicians’ Club, where he continues to perfect his techniques and exchange ideas with other illusion enthusiasts.
Specialising in close-up magic – a form of magic performed right in front of the audience he particularly enjoys this proximity, which allows him to create unique moments full of mystery and complicity. What he loves most about magic are the emotions it evokes: the curiosity, surprise and wonder that light up the faces of his audience at every performance.
